Francis SHEARD 1838 – 1886

Eventually we came across the following from The London Gazette, dated 25^th January 1884:

So Frank had dissolved his partnership with Daniel Griffin just over two years before he died and obviously Sarah had continued the business after his death. She is still running the business at the time of the 1901 census:

Emily is still at home but Thomas had married Alice Ann BATTY in 1884 and by the time of the 1901 census had five children – Frank born 1885, Alice born 1886, Muriel born 1889, Cora born 1891 and Dorothy born 1895. Charles Percival had married Rowena PEARSON in 1892 and had one child – Emily Rowena born 1893. Finally Cora had married John Mann CRONE on 7^th November 1895 having one child by the time of the census – John born about 1898.
