Francis SHEARD 1801 to 1876

Searching on the 1881 census we can find no trace of Francis and so assumed, correctly as it turned out, that he must of died sometime between the two censuses. As we could not find his third wife Mary either we searched for their deaths and found:

 

 

 

Referring to Dr Paul Smith again we conclude that

“Senechus” means “Old Age”.

 

 

 

 

Finally we then found a reference for a death of a Mary Sophia Sheard i.e. MAR1879;7b;147;Radford.
