Francis Sheard – 1800
So far we have only been able to find 2 possible deaths, via the National Burial Index (NBI) 2nd Edition from the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS):
Buried on 11 September 1803, recorded in St Maurice, York, age 39, the only other details recorded in the register according to a transcription obtained from the CD-ROM of full transcriptions from the parish registers 1780-1812 of York City & Ainsty Burials (available from The City of York & District FHS) is the comment “from Infirmary” in the Occupation/Other Info Column.
Buried 13 May 1804, recorded in All Saints, Batley, Yorkshire West Riding-no age given.
We are inclined to think that the September 1803 burial in St Maurice, York is “our” Francis as we believe that his wife Rachel would have been around 34 years of age in 1803 and his son ended up in the St Maurice area of York, so perhaps there was some sort of connection to the area whereas so far we have been unable to find any connection to Batley.
