Francis & Rachel

We have traced our SHEARD line back to the marriage on 25 November 1800 of Francis SHEARD & Rachel SIGSWORTH in Sheriff Hutton, Yorkshire.

So far we have no idea of where he originated from or of his parents or any siblings. Crucially we have no idea of even an approximate year of birth which of course makes it very difficult to have any certainty of finding the relevant birth or christening record for him or of finding a death or burial record.

We do know that Rachel re-married on 27 August 1810 in Sutton on the Forest, Yorkshire where she is recorded as a Widow so we must presume that Francis died sometime between 1801 and 1810.
